My weight loss journey has been a long time coming. I am a mom of
two who has gained 40+ pounds during my pregnancies. I have been on
this journey before. At one time I went from 220 pounds to 165. Then
came my first pregnancy leaving me at 190 pounds. I thought about
losing weight then but, convenience seemed more important. I
ballooned during my second pregnancy to 260 pounds due to having to
be on partial bed rest. After I had my second child I got down to
210. Flash forward two years and I average anywhere between 199-210.
During my childhood my weight was never an issue. I was active
but, unhealthy. Now, I have been or felt overweight my entire adult
life. I am miserable. I feel like crying every time I look in the
mirror. It is time for a change. I don't want to just be skinny. I
want to be fit and healthy. I don't want a diet. I want a lifestyle
change and I am ready for the first step.
Here's to balancing a lifestyle change, motherhood, and soon being a full time student.
